Have you wondered what has lifestyle got to do with the professional life? Have you thought lifestyle was a personal decision and people had no right to question you? Have you thought questioning your lifestyle was intrusion into privacy?! If you ever asked me the answer for these questions I would have said yes till a few hours back but now the answer is NO. Wondering why?! I read an article where one has to answer questions relating to his lifestyle in order to be given a job. These are mainly government jobs and the jobs where one has to work with classified data. The purpose of the lifestyle polygraph is to determine, to the greatest extent possible, whether or not a given applicant can be trusted with sensitive information. The questions are basically yes or no type which plan to throw light on the past and present behavior of the candidate. If you questioned what has behavior got to do with lifestyle, then you need to know that behavior defines what your lifestyle is! But these tests are controversial because the machines can never be 100% correct and lot of privacy issues is raised. But people who support it have a valid reason and their concern is that national safety is of more importance than privacy intrusion! So, our lifestyle can win us or deny us jobs.
