Laughter Provides Good Health
When was the last time you laughed?! I didn’t mean smile but to really laugh. It is a rarity that we find people laughing because of the levels of stress that each one faces. But many of us fail to realize that laughter can reduce stress and is the best therapy to lead a healthy life. Norman Cousins was a political journalist who suffered from a heart disease and his doctors believed he had less chances of surviving. But his laughter therapy along with medications helped him to survive for a longer time. He believed that genuine belly laughter for ten minutes gave anesthetic effect which made him to sleep peacefully irrespective of the pain. He believed that positive ness, hope, laughter can increase one’s lifetime. This concept has inspired many to start laughter clubs, where people come together and laugh. What a novel idea, isn’t it?! There is a World Laughter Day celebrated so that more and more people understand the power of laughter. It has been suggested that laughter can cure cancer and a few more diseases. Though there isn’t concrete evidence for this. It cam be believed that positive energy always increases lifespan and can also provide a healthy life.
