The best gift
I was searching for an everlasting gift so that the love of my life would have it for her birthday. I searched and searched. I thought of getting a diamond ring, but what if the diamond fell down or the ring lost? I thought of getting a t-shirt but wouldn’t that tear into pieces over time? I wanted something which would survive for years. My friends suggested that my search would result in failure because there could never be such a gift! I refused to budge but I never got anything that fitted my description. I thought of a bouquet but they would dry soon. What about cutlery? Wouldn’t they break? I began to think and that’s when I realized my gift. The gift was a simple “ME”. Yeah, I gifted myself to my love! I gifted my time and my unbounded love. It is the everlasting gift in any relationship, which can stand the harsh weathers of life. I did gift myself to my love, my MOM. A hug and a kiss made her smile more than ever. I keep up the promise of spending quality time with her, and I have realized that the most everlasting gift is oneself!
